Warranties on Window Films
In addition to the above and any other rights and remedies available under law, we offer:
Our Warranty
Should your window film crack, craze, demetallize, bubble, peel or delaminate from the glass during the Warranty Period and unless an Exclusion applies, we will replace the defective part of the film for FREE*.
Warranty Period
The warranty period commences from the date of installation and varies depending on the film and whether it is used for residential or commercial purposes. Please refer to the Warranty Table.
Note: Unless specified otherwise in the Warranty Table, the replacement covers the defective part of the film plus labour costs.
Exclusions
Exclusions – failure to care for your window film and / or non-suitable use:
It is important to care for your window film properly. The warranty will not apply:
• to scratching or other damage to the film caused by improper treatment, thermal stress or glass breakage from any cause;
• to internal films which are exposed to outside conditions such as louvered, hopper or awning type windows;
• to damage arising to the film due to application to glass which is cracked or damaged (please note sometimes existing cracks or damage may be concealed by the window frame and may not be visible at the time of application);
• where the film has been subject to abuse, improper care or mistreatment for example: picking the film edges; cleaning with abrasive or ammonia based products; if the window to which the film is affixed has developed leaks; the film has been exposed to internal moisture which causes the defect; or if “sticky” tape, suction caps or pressure sensitive stickers have been applied.
For information on how to care for your film please refer to the “Care of Your Tinted Glass” section.
Exclusions – Factors which are not subject to a warranty claim
The following are not faults and are not subject to a warranty claim:
• An almost invisible, very fine splice or join may appear on windows which require two or more sections of film in order to cover the area.
• A barely visible clear border around the edges. This border ensures that the film is properly bonded to the glass. For more information see “About the Finished Product”.
• A slightly hazy or milky appearance caused by water between the film and the glass will disappear along with any water bubbles. A few small particles or points may remain. These are generally only visible from the outside and inherent to film adhesives. These points or light reflections do not affect the performance of the film in any way. For more information see “About the Finished Product”.

Care of your Tinted Glass
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT CLEAN YOUR GLASS FOR AT LEAST THIRTY DAYS AFTER INSTALLATION.
This is necessary to enable drying. For more information on the drying (curing) period please see the “About the Finished Product” section.
To clean, we recommend you use:
• water and a detergent;
• methylated spirits and water; or
• a conventional window cleaning solution.
Use a spray, synthetic sponge or a moist cloth to apply the cleaning solution. We recommend you use a microfiber cloth. Dry with a good quality rubber squeegee, chamois or a moist soft cloth. Dry the edges thoroughly.
DO NOT USE abrasive cloths, brushes, powders or ammonia-based products.
Please Note: Polyester film is a tough wear-resistance product, but its surface is not as hard as glass and it can be damaged by abrasive cleaners and improper treatment.
About the Finished Product
All products which contain an adhesive rely on a curing process to obtain a proper bond. Window film is exactly the same and during the drying process some changes will be observed. These changes are quite normal and should be expected.
Initially the film could appear hazy and milky and the surface may have an orange peel effect or even quite large bubbles. This is no cause for alarm. It is in fact a normal part of the drying process. After the adhesive has cured, the apparent imperfections will disappear, however, a few small particles or points may remain. This process will take from three to thirty days.
During this period the film is performing in exactly the same manner as it will when the adhesive is fully cured. Do not touch the film until the curing process is finished and do not wash it until it has been on the glass for at least four weeks.
The small border of light which you see around the edge of each sheet of film, is an edge trim of approximately 1.5 to 3 millimetres. The gap is a safety margin, to ensure the complete sealing of the film and to allow for the expansion and contraction of the glass.
Sometimes a customer feels that they see a defect in the film when in fact it is in the glass itself. It is quite natural to look closely at a new purchase, but because we generally look through glass not at it, it is quite possible to see imperfections which have always been in the glass, but were never before noticed.
A good rule is to look at the installation from 3 meters away.
